What I Know Now...Health is Wealth
Friends,
This week, I want to share a moment that reminded me just how energizing it can be to meet someone who’s living their next chapter with purpose, creativity, and joy.
Recently, I attended a book signing with Elyce Arons, CEO and co-founder of Frances Valentine—and author of We Can Make It After All, the beautiful story of her lifelong friendship with Kate Spade.
I went in expecting a fun afternoon.
I left feeling inspired.
Elyce talked about how, now that her children are grown, she’s rediscovered this spark—this renewed energy—to build, to create, and to do something meaningful again. Writing the book, running the company, and honoring her friendship with Kate hasn’t just been work…it’s been a way to step into a new, exciting season of life.
As someone in my 60s navigating my own “next chapter,” her words landed differently. They felt like permission—a reminder that passion, purpose, and reinvention don’t have an expiration date.
And yes, I even got a photo with her (I’ll share it in the full post!). It’s one of those small moments I want to remember.
If you’d like to read the full story—and why this afternoon made me reflect on gratitude, friendships, and the women who shape us—you can find it here:
