I can't believe we've already turned the page to September. And I know you don't want to hear this, but... only 16 weeks until Christmas.
I love September anyway. There's something about that Back to School feeling — new notebooks, new pens (Dr.Grip's my fav), new clothes - that gets me every year, even though my own school days are long behind me. And of course, it's football season again. Go Bears.
Fall always feels like a natural reset. Like it's time to get back into a routine and learn something new.
So, today's newsletter is short and sweet: as you start thinking about what your fall is going to look like, decide on one thing you're going to learn this season. It doesn't have to be big. It just has to be yours.

P.S. The Jack Foote Open went well this year but was hectic behind the scenes — my mom got scammed just as everyone was arriving. She got an email that looked like it was from Amazon, saying there was a problem with her account and asking her to call an 866 number to fix it. Whoever answered convinced her to give them remote access to her computer and her bank account. Thankfully, she went straight to the bank right after and they froze everything before any real damage was done. These scammers are pros. If you ever get an unexpected email asking you to call a number to "fix" an account problem, don't call it. Go directly to the company's real website or app instead. Wanted you to hear it from me so you can watch out for it too!
