Charlie Kirk & What I Know Now....

What I Know Now..

For all my subscribers, Friday thought...

What I Know Now is…

There has always been political discourse in our country. Recently, a friend asked me if I was afraid of what’s happening because of my vote. After yesterday, I can say that yes — I am afraid for our country.

Take Charlie Kirk, for example. He’s the same age as my son — both young men in their thirties, both fathers of two. When I listen to Charlie, I don’t just hear politics, I hear the urgency of a generation that wants a future for their kids. And when I look at my own son, I see the same thing: a deep concern about the world his children will grow up in.

If free speech is silenced — for Democrats or Republicans — simply because someone doesn’t like what is said, we are in dangerous territory. What happened to debate class in high school? What happened to healthy discussions where differing views were respected?

Somewhere along the way, we’ve lost the ability to value dialogue, to value life, and to value one another even in disagreement.

What I Know Now — For Sure — We need to fix this!
